Since I...I'm in love with your snowflake easel. Since I live in the desert I'm all about the snowflakes, lol. I'm just starting back into paper crafting after a long hiatus so some of the organizational skills I've discovered are from Jennifer McGuire. I love her videos and website:http://www.jennifermcguireink.com. One thing that I have followed from Jennifer is that I keep my dies in Avery Elle storage pockets. I tried the CD pockets but since some dies are bigger it was frustrating to have two sizes so now I store them all in the bigger pockets. Dies for stamp sets I store with the stamps in my Scraprack. I'm also storing my cardstock in job ticket holders, filed in magazine holders on their spines. This gives me easy access to each color as well as any scraps. I decided to make an inventory catalog for my stamps, dies, and inks so that I know where I've put them and what I have. This also helps give me size ideas for dies and punches and it doesn't take me forever to find supplies when I've got time to stamp. I've just started using Evernote, this way I have it with me whenever I'm at a store so duplicate purchases have been reduced. One other thing I've found helpful when I'm die cutting - I have a clipboard with a magnet sheet on it so I can keep any dies I'm using for my project in one place. It helps to keep what I'm using visible and I know they won't end up in the trash or buried under everything. I also keep my cardstock with adhesive in one basket so that when I want to use word dies I don't have to mess with getting them glued down although the fine tip applicators have made that easier. Thanks for being part of this blog hop and your generous giveaway. <br />Teresa Pires ta2pires@yahoo.comUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02111359362028919008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12485874.post-44078580571613846532016-01-07T12:23:20.557-05:002016-01-07T12:23:20.557-05:00Happy New Year!! Thank you for being part of this ...Happy New Year!! Thank you for being part of this great blog hop!! My best organization suggestion I can give is using peg board on your walls. I say this because at the beginning of 2015 I did a total remodel of my craft room and while going through my supplies to try and slim down my stash (yeah right!!) I realized that there was a ton of things I wasn't using and some stuff I had totally forgotten I had, because everything was in a drawer or something like that, so I found I'm more likely to use my supplies if they were out so I could see them! So now I have 2 peg boards that most of my stuff hangs on!! Hope that helps!!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12954051379302625357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12485874.post-42871921339304096382016-01-06T18:07:36.517-05:002016-01-06T18:07:36.517-05:00I'm not an expert on organizing, but... . My ...I'm not an expert on organizing, but... . My new year resolution was to get my craft room cleaned up and in some sort of order. I just do/did not have the correct storage -- everything was here and there and all over the floor. So I started by putting a tall bookcase in the room. Then I went downstairs and thought about what to put on the shelves and how. The next day I moved all my books, folders, papers, stamps, dies and embossing folders to the bookcase -- just piled them on the shelves to see what I had. Went back downstairs to think more. Then I decided I would use baskets for containers. I have baskets in my closets and pantry - excellent storage containers, easy to handle and colorful! Went to Michaels today and purchased five small, rectangle baskets (50% off). I started filling the baskets this afternoon. So far, so good. Now I just need to do something with my paper....Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04270402157231044990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12485874.post-44772267387695181702016-01-05T17:52:36.323-05:002016-01-05T17:52:36.323-05:00I love the snowflake home decor piece!! However, if you have been keeping track of weather in the mid Atlantic region, we have no snow. Even Christmas Day, temperatures were in the 70s. So, I feel out of whack. Anyway, my favorite bible journaling website is- http://www.triplethescraps.com . She even has a weekly bible study, which may be going to less because of personal problems. Thank you for sharing and participating in this blog hop and Happy New Year!!Jennifer Hovermalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05047232853800894823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12485874.post-12380839573792821712016-01-05T14:11:39.742-05:002016-01-05T14:11:39.742-05:00Hello! Thanks for the great home decor project. ...Hello! Thanks for the great home decor project. I always feel a little let down after I remove all the Christmas decor and everything feels a bit blah, I think making this would be a lovely idea for celebrating the rest of winter, and of course you could chance up what you put on it to make one for spring or summer too! I am not sure how to attach a photo, but if I can figure it out, I will attach one of my craft room. I have two tips for organization that work well for me. One is the rings that The Reset Girl sells in her Etsy shop for Washi tape, they hold tons, keep it accessible and I enjoy seeing all the pretty colors and pattern out in my space. Plus I can get to my tapes and use them. If I put stuff away I tend to forget I have it! The second tip is a great and inexpensive way to put out more of your supplies - from wooden stamps, to bottles of craft paint, to sprays and mists, you name it without a lot of expense. I bought the rails that ceiling tiles sit in, you know the industrial ceiling tiles that are in dropped ceilings? They sit on aluminum rails that cost less than a buck for a four foot section at any hardware store. I got mine at Home a depot but they are sold everywhere. They can put onto your walls with a small screw and they provide a ledge that is wide enough for a wooden stamp, a spray bottle of mist, craft paint bottles, etc... Again , I use them to put my supplies out where I can see them, but also to organize them and keep them off the desk. It is very inexpensive and you can cut the four foot sections with tin snips if you need to change the size. I hope one of these will be of help to you in your craft room. I also Bible journal and I highly recommend Susan Hiles(Shiles728 on YT) and Rebekah R. Jones (Rebekah R on YT) for wonderful video tutorials for mixed media bible journaling.Maureen Hayeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01825595311970223353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12485874.post-21406486020041313952016-01-05T13:06:11.172-05:002016-01-05T13:06:11.172-05:00Jennifer McGuire has great organization videos.
