- welcome to all my new readers, via my sweet friend Stephanie Howell.
- just a heads up. i know i haven't elaborated on it too much, but in the new year i'll be teaching a handmade embellishments class. more details on that tomorrow...
- for those not here via Stephanie's blog, you'll want to go visit her. Stephanie is giving away a FREE pass to my class! you have until 8pm, Texas time, on Saturday to comment on this post for a chance to win.
- you won't believe what i overheard as i was typing this post. my daughter was in the kitchen waiting for a piece of toast. when it popped up and my husband swiped it to lather it with butter, he said "wow. this is the most perfectly toasted piece i've ever made." ashlyn without hesistation replied "wait, daddy, take a picture. i wanna scrapbook it!" hahaaahaaa. hysterical.
- wish i was enjoying my favorite cold weather treat. hot cocoa with whip, sprinkled with ande's mints. mmmmmm. but alas, my heart condition still has me caffeine free, which means no chocolate.
- today we woke up to my husband wanting to surprise the kids with a trip to COSI, our local hand-ons science museum. always loads of fun. i hope to get some fun pictures.
- i think i broke a comment record with the yo-yo ball, LOL. i wish i could afford to send you all one. (for new readers, target check-out lanes, $3.99, you NEED one.)
- i'm craving pecan pie. but i have been avoiding making it. it's something my mom used to make me, every thanksgiving. i haven't had any for 2 years now. it's just not the same unless she makes it. she was a phenomenal pie maker.
- wanna hear how careless i am? and have a good laugh at my expense? a few nights ago, i was heading into my studio at oh, about 1:30AM so that i could finally finish up a looooong overdue assignment for the Scrapsupply newsletter. i was in there no longer than 5 minutes, just tidying up and making a space to work when i reached up on top of my bookshelf to toss some things into a basket. on the first shelf of the tall bookcase, i had a few pieces of glass taken out of frames tucked in between some boxes and the side of the shelf. and wouldn't you know, that it was sticking out just enough that when i brought my arm back down, it met the glass and now i have a lovely inch long, gaping gash in my forearm. niiiiiiiiiiiiiice. hahahaaa. so there you have it. my worse scrapbooking {related} accident yet.
- ps. i'm fine. it hurts like the dickens, but thanks to a nurse friend, it's now adorned with steristrips until it heals.
- can you believe we've been at this giveaway business for 18 days now!!!! it's been SO incredibly FUN. each and every comment that comes through my inbox makes me smile so big.

ReplyDeleteLike that you can be random and just put things out there. And for your information, I don't think you where a retard. Things happens. I fell of my bike this week. Yes, I should know how to ride by now. And no, it just the way things go sometime.
