what? you've never heard of "The Beeeeeeeeest Daaaaaaaay Evvvvvvvvvvvvver?"

well, let me enlighten you.

some moron at Nickelodeon decided it was due time that he torture all the parents of the universe with a 24 hour marathon of the top 100 episodes of Spongebob Squarepants.

*gasp* the horror!

but the idiot planned for the countdown to lead up to "The Best Day Ever" episode which won't even air until TOMORROW at 7:30pm. yep, that's right. you guessed it. the first episode doesn't even start until TONIGHT at 8:00pm when all the kids that are young enough to even be interested in watching Spongebob will be well on the way to starting their bedtime routine, eliciting even more whining and complaining that they don't get to watch Spongebob today when we've been counting the days, hours, minutes and even seconds until this day.

*sheesh

don't these people think???

you all know i'm just kidding right? i really do think it is kinda cool!

ashlyn is one of those dedicated to one cartoon or nothing at all type tv watchers. i'm sure now that it goes along with her sensory issues. she loves to watch the same cartoon all the time until she moves to a new phase. must be something with the familiar nature---she hates change. i've been through the whole routine of repeated episodes with Elmo, then it was Barney (which lasted entirely too long), then JoJo's Circus, then Callilou (man, that kid is whiney), now we are stuck on Spongebob and have been for what seems like foooooorever! but the funny thing to me is that Em is just as mesmerized by the character. she doesn't say much, but boy can she say Spongebob, it is hysterical.

so the other day we bought a Spongebob costume at an after halloween clearance sale for $3 and doug is out now buying cake mix, icing and food coloring. we are going to surprise ashlyn by making and decorating our own Spongebob cake. i am so excited i can't hardly stand it.

i love seeing the kids so excited that they are exploding with glee!

0 days, 8 hours, 39 minutes, 14 seconds, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9........
wish me luck!
