- doug up at 3:30AM to work overtime, 4-9am.
- up at 5:30 with emma. she's not tired anymore and just wants her daddy.
- doug trying to nap at 9:15....the kids are having no part of that.
- doug and girls go to have a daddy play date.
- finish up painting project
- drag my feet cleaning up the tornado that went through the kitchen, thus my hate for friday carries over into saturday mornings, LOL.
- suzi over bearing gifts.....an OSU jersey for ashlyn and (another) fish game for emma. she seems to keep losing pieces so this is her 3rd one, i think.
- off to the local park for a fall festival with face painting, hayrides, pumpkin picking, corn mazes and games. all FREE.
- home for a nap, for emma. ashlyn refuses.
- attempt to get ready for an OSU football tailgate party by the local radio station.
- i have a little meltdown.....just all the stress from the past 2 weeks finally coming together all at once when the girls wouldn't cooperate and get ready. the bickering, whining, arguing---it did me in for a short while.
- out the door to the party with suzi and girls while doug went to play cards with his buddies.
- yeah. tailgate party is a bust. definitely not a kid friendly event.
- back home to do something or another, i honestly can't remember since i didn't make notes right after the day ended.
- don’t want to get out of bed this morning
- doug quietly gets emma ready while I stay cozy in her bed
- shower at 735 and make executive decision to let ashlyn sleep in.
- a little someone made their way to my bed in the night and the diaper reached it's max.
- out comes the cleaning solution......then baking soda.
- pack ashlyn's lunch....half turkey on white bread, choc pudding, Capri sun and her favorite “spicy” (sour cream & cheddar) chips. not the healthiest, but we’re scrounging since it’s Friday. She’s missing the usual manadrin oranges & 2 fun size kit kats.
- no bus stop today, running much too late for that. she gets the mom taxi to school.
- get call from doug asking if I’ve heard from doctor about biopsy results. he makes another call.
- drop her off and head to thrift stores to find a lamp base and side table to cozy up the livingroom
- mission failed
- back home, eat a snack while dumping memory cards
- update blog
- work. chipotle for lunch, dawns treat.
- slow afternoon at work
- IM with doug, email with suzi
- reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally tired, really out of energy, really want to go to bed.
- (every Friday I feel this way, it’s my least favorite day of the week.)
- call home to retrieve VM. Call from doctor regarding biopsies. No results yet.

- get home and my home reflects my mood. tired. disorganized. messy. all results of a busy week. i'll tackle it in the morning.
- morning…….i just want to stay in bed. Ugh.
- pain in my back is intensifying

- take a deep breathe and wake ashlyn.
- gather her clothes while she goes potty and throws away her pullup. pullup is dry most mornings, but she won’t sleep without one.
- pack her lunch, look over her papers, sign and shove in bookbag, start a load of laundry while she creates some art.
- art calms her.
- walk to bus stop…….it’s freezing! she gets on the bus without crying today! did a little jiggity jig to celebrate.
- back home. realize I love this new routine of doug taking emma and having time to focus on just one kid in the mornings.
- switch over laundry
- start new wall art project, catch up with America’s Got Talent on DVR
- try to check email while paint dries. Server not connected. Story of my life.
- reboot computer, tidy playroom.

- second coat of paint. Doug calls about ashlyn’s test results and says “I had a dream she has cancer.” she has never heard the word cancer from our lips.

- decision is made for him to take suzi….she’ll enjoy it more.
- YAY! I can fix grilled ham & cheese for dinner (doug doesn’t care for it and he won’t be home for dinner)
- hold my breath as ashlyn jumps from the 5th step for the 8th time in 10 minutes. "please don't break your leg, please don't break your leg" is all i can think. no matter how many times i ask her not to do it she says...."ugh. i forgot!"

- emma's crying about something random. ashlyn teases "crybaby.crybaby."
- ashlyn super hyper. what's new?tv off, play in playroom
- what do you know.....they can actually play together! ashlyn's the teacher with a classroom of kitty friends.
- emma finds rubber ducky and immediately wants to play in the tub.
- warm jammies, lotion, hair brushed, moo pop yogurt for snack, back to playroom
- emma serves me a plastic "huggaburger" (hamburger) and cookie, then icecream and insists we pray for our playfood.
- "God our Fah-yer, once again, tank you for our gah-less-kings (blessing), Amen" it's the cutest thing E.V.E.R.
- both kids sing happy birthday with a special cake
- 9:30 both kids in bed with me.
- 11pm wake up to find doug home watching sportscenter, take medicine, bed.
- another rough morning with the usual before school meltdown. she’s also upset we didn’t scrapbook. i promise her scrapbooking time this evening.
- wound care for her biopsy sites is torture to her. it's been a week and the swelling is down, bruise still apparent.
- shower. pack lunch. put in a load of laundry. check email.
- ashlyn does some art and coloring.
- walk to the bus stop. once there, she buries her head in my side and covers her face with her hands. bus comes, she waits to be the last one on. breaks out into a meltdown sobbing. gets on bus, sits in front seat. (seeing a pattern here?)
- hang frames on wall
- more laundry.....washing seasonal clothes for emma.
- want to climb back in bed it looks so warm and cozy
- clutter control. shut the hallway closet door for the 5th time today. it never stays closed for long. EVER. grrrrrr.
- work, NOON-5.
- doug IM’s wishing we could go to Don Pablos---used to be a weekly family date.
- suzi and I email about making quilts
- remember the $15 overpaid copay check---BONUS! decide to order Don Pablos carryout---chicken fajitas, double rice, no beans, 2 kid’s queso, 1 beef enchilada a la carte, loads of chips and salsa…$12.47. this used to be a weekly family date night at the restaurant. we haven't had the pleasure in a while though. it was extra delicious.
- arrive home at the same time as doug and kids.
- girls go crazy over happy mail they received from grammy at the beach.
- eat dinner, then out the door with suzi to joann’s to browse fabric.
- get sidetracked at joann’s by the paper mache letters on major sale. i have big plans! (another project, LOL!)
- stop for apple juice (we’re always running out)
- have racing heart episode on way home, difficulty breathing.
- come home to emma wheezing. a breathing treatment is in order.
- 10 minutes later she's hyperventilating over a drop of blood from her picking one of many boo-boos on her legs. the kid must go through 10 bandaids a day.
- home to snuggle ashlyn and watch ironman with doug.
- ashlyn falls asleep in my arms, emma in our bed
- take medicine…11:45 to bed
