i think i just might explode.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhh.

phew. i feel better now. kinda.

i really, really try to keep everything positive on this blog, but lately life is just kicking my butt.

for FOUR weeks in a row now, we have dealt with four separate vehicle repairs. all on the same vehicle. FOUR. it's getting a little bit ridiculous if you ask me.

and if you ask my husband, who is normally the calm, cool & collected one that overflows positivity, you just might see flames shooting from his ears. seriously.

ooooooooooh, buddy. he's hot. and discouraged.

first it was the alternator.
then it was the front brakes.
then it was the rear wheel drums needing replaced. boy, is that ever a story. (and a site to see)

oh wait! i can show you. because the Mister brought the drums home to show me just how bad it really was. wanna see?

one of these things is not like the other......YES, it is the same part. rear wheel drums. both removed from his truck. now tell me, how in the world did this not cause some major catastrophe? it's beyond me.

and the fourth repair? it's the starter. ugh.

MERCY! MERCY! MERCY! MERCY! MERCY!

but, we do have lots to be thankful for.

1. we haven't had a car payment in about 4 years.
2. none of the repairs have left him stranded or in a dangerous situation.
3. i'm the daughter of a man who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty and willingly tackles any car repair project we throw at him.

i just have to interject-----i'm convinced my dad is a real life superhero. thoroughly convinced.

4. and he's super cool about letting us use his other vehicle when one of ours is out of commission until his schedule is free to do the repair.
5. we've been able to do all these repairs and still be in the game of debt-free living.

can i hear a "wooooooooooohooooooooo" for that!?

so, really, we have it pretty good. it's just inconvenient. and not fun throwing all your cash at a vehicle that's 10 years old and turning over 160,000 miles.

yep. we have three of those types of vehicles.
but no car payments.
and lots of inconvenience.
but no car payments.

bah.

can i have my happy, cool, calm, collected, overly optimistic, encouraging husband back now? please. i don't like seeing him discouraged. at all. it's a pitiful sight.

  1. Your life is difficult as it is without adding the car problems to it. I hope this is the last repair for a long, long, long time to come.
