it's National Scrapbook Day!

tell me, how are you celebrating!?

i'm going to be right here in my studio with my girls, cyber-celebrating with my sweet friend Sherry. making layouts just like the one above. not focusing on deadlines, no assignments, using imperfect photos and making imperfect layouts (then, taking imperfect photos of said layouts, LOL)-----just because. perfectly-imperfect! my favorite kind of scrapbooking!

we're focusing on some challenges we've brainstormed:

• use a photo from your tumblr account as inspiration (Sherry's tumblr here, Tania's tumblr here)
• make a layout/card based on one of the Sunday sketches from Studio Calico
• create a layout with a party banner (yes, trendy. but i've been wanting to try it!)
• use a border of some sort (punch, fabric, die-cut, etc)
• use circles to create a layout (i just did this recently....lookie here!)
• scrap about (or a moment from) today (Saturday or Sunday)
