part of my package included the Old School Crafting Kit.
this package is absolutely GORGEOUS---the colors, the tone, the distressing---and even in a variation of my favorite color combination (yellow, red, light blue). actually this kit reminded me a lot of the product i used to work with back when Daisy Ds was around. just gorgeous stuff.
i sat down to work with it and fell. in. love. all over again. their crafting kit is full of everything you could ever want for a layout, so i didn't add a single thing that wasn't in the kit except for some ink and a few buttons----and SRM stickers, of course.
i wish i would have taken a picture of how i made the stars. but i completely forgot. how's about a little 'how-to' lesson later.
you might be surprised to know that the stars aren't stamped. basically, i used my silhouette to cut a bunch of stars out of one sheet of cardstock to use on another project. instead of throwing the negative space away, i saved it to use as a mask. kinda like a stencil. i put it on the lined creamish-yellow patterned paper, then used a makeup sponge to dab yellow ink. i LOVE the effect.
in the photo above you see one SRM Sticker - happy.....and below, the other - 2010.
and a close up of the journaling for those who are interested.
here's the SRM stickers i added: Quick Cards Happy & Year of Memories 2010.
there's lots more Pink Paislee + SRM in combination featured on the SRM blog. check it out!
what a beautifully put together page :D
