celebratin' the holiday with a little Cupcake Love

Cupcake Love is the newest collection released by Little Yellow Bicycle and it's FABULOUS. totally glitterfied. lots of pink and red and a hint of green and light blue.

it works perfectly for lovey dovey type layouts as well as celebration type layouts---like birthdays. :)

and here's my first layout share of the new year!!! (which should have really been my last layout share of last year, LOL! but i'm slower than molasses lately. ooops.)

my favorite little accents in the whole collection are on this first layout. i took a few closeups of them. the first one is this adorable "love you" garland.

it comes from the Dimensional Pieces sticker sheet:

and the other is this adorable felt cupcake that can stand alone or act as a ribbon slider. those come as a pack of 5 (shown below).

i embellished the cupcake even further by tucking one of the heart stick pins behind it from the same Cupcake Love collection. :)

this next layout looks so funky compared to how it looks in real life. i have the darndest time photographing light yellow and light pink layouts. the colors always look so off.

anywho.

that being said, here's the second Cupcake Love layout......a collage of ashlyn's 8th birthday. journaling is on the back and is just a reprint of this blog post.

for this layout, i resized all the pictures and pasted them onto a new canvas (8 x 10) in a photo editing program, then printed it out as one photo enlargement. easy peasy.

then i glued it to the page and build everything else around it. :)

several of the embellishments at the bottom were cut from the Heart Cut-Out Sheet with glitter accents. (the large heart was on the first layout above too!)

the only things NOT from the Cupcake Love collection on this last layout are the alphas.
