VIDEO Tutorial featuring Cupcake Love from Little Yellow Bicycle

hello loves!

today is 1-11-11! you should stop and take a picture at 11:11 or 1:11! then make a promise to yourself and keep it.....and maybe even scrap it!

anywho. first off, my appologies to those who have me in their reader or get my blog posts via email.......can we say bombarded? i've been bloggin' like a fool lately.

today's a fun one, i promise!

as promised i'm back with another free tutorial to share. i've been playing some more with Little Yellow Bicycle's Cupcake Love collection and put together a super fun layout with a video tutorial to go along with it. :)

here's a few detail shots....

practically free embellishing---hand-stitching....my go-to embellishment on nearly every layout i create nowadays.

epoxy conversation heart button dangling from baker's twine.
and seed beads threaded onto the heart stick pins with a baker's twine bow. be.still.my.heart. LOVE how adorable they look this way.

i've got a little trick for creating those green hearts too. watch the video! :)

the video goes into detail about how i created the entire layout, how to stretch the use of your embellishments, and my process for adding hand-stitched elements to my pages from start to finish.

for those who want to give it a try, here's a complete step-by-step downloadable PDF complete with supply list.

  1. I have been in a lot of pain the last few months, so scrapping has been the last thing I have wanted to do, but yesterday, that changed. I loved this layout so much, that last night, I drove out to Michales and picked up some of the new K & Company by Kelli Pannaci to re-create something similar.

Thanks so much for the inspiration!
