most of my deadlines right now are top secret for a while longer, but this is one that i can share!
take a looksie.........

i completely
ADORE these photos of me and ashlyn even though the lighting in them is off and the flash was used in one of them. they are still super special to me and that's all that matters.
anywho. i knew they'd be perfect for the
Sweet Summertime collection by
Little Yellow Bicycle, even though they were taken around Valentine's day and not in the summer.

but, that's what there is to loooooove about collections of products that seem to be theme-specific. it's seems there is always room to play and stretch the product over to other themes/events.

by simply pulling out my red alphabet stickers and adding the word "YOU" to the
"bring on the sunshine sticker", i was able to change the theme from summer to something more appropriate and suitable for my photos that doubles as not only a sticker accent, but also my title.

i just clustered together the
"bring on the sunshine" sticker from the
Fresh Verse sticker sheet with the
cloud sticker from the
Favorite Pieces sticker sheet and then add in one of my handmade flowers using a Fiskars
Seal of Approval Punch,
Round N' Round punch, and a
Chipboard Button---tutorial for the flowers can be seen in the last
Training Reel i posted here on the blog.
and VOILA!
i have a perfectly layered/embellished title with very minimal effort----yet it packs a powerful punch!

the rest of the layout is a happy mix of various sized circles all punched with my
Fiskars Round N Round Squeeze Punches. The largest yellow one peeking out of the right side of the layout was cut using the
Super Sized Circles with some light embellishing with more of the same handmade flowers seen in the
Training Reel.
if you haven't tried your hand at making some yet, you really should! in a matter of 20 minutes or so, i had 24 handmade flowers. super easy to make and so fun to reach for when embellishing your layouts. they make me haaaapppppppppy!
another tutorial coming up tomorrow featuring the always fabulous
SRM stickers! :)
wow such a happy layout!
