TUTORIAL: Make Money Grow on Trees!

graduation season is upon us and let’s face it, most high school graduates are desperate for money to help pad their wallet as they gear up for their first year of college. am i right?

sure, you can take the easy way out and tuck a couple nice crisp bills in a card and call it good, right?  OR, you can step it up a notch and give the gift that is sure to be remembered – a money tree.

for as long as i can remember, this was the gift my mom made for any of the graduates she was gifting to--she even made one for ME when i graduated high school.

of course, her version was a bit more on the simple side with bare branches tucked into a vase filled with 'penny soil' and dollars tied on with ribbons  in the graduate's school colors. but regardless of how much or how little effort you put into making it presentable, it's really quite simple to put together and sure to please any recipient!

you can see the process in my newest tutorial over at Fiskars: Make a Money Tree for the Graduate by Tania Willis
