sharyn, this one's for you.

(trying to help you with number 41 on that list of yours. i'm cool like that. hehee.)

ONE of the BEST Christmas presents ever, was circa late 1980's. i can't quite remember what year, although, i'm guessing i was in middle school......those tween years. and i can't find the exact photographic evidence---though i know it exsists. but lucky for you, i was quite obsessed for more than just a year....more like three years. so i do have supporting photos.

wow. rambling much this morning?

anywho.
the present: an ENTIRE CASE full of Aqua Net hairspray.
from: Aunt Brenda & Uncle Terry

yeah, i wasn't so nice to the environment for a few years or so. and since i know that this post is nothing without proof of why a case of Aqua Net hairspray was a pretty darn good present. so, i present to you the reason why i was so giddy over such a gift............

are you laughing now?

gotta scoot. i have grocery shopping to do, and presents to wrap and photos to resize and children to snuggle.........

  2. ROFLOL!!!! Ok, at least you don't have the chicken bangs!!!! That is what I was really waiting for. Now in middle school for me it was the weinier rolls down the side followed by the big as you can get feathered look. Yep, none of them was really very good, but they both took their fair amount of aqua net as well so I understand the excitement! LOL!!!

  16. Oh how I always wanted that hair. lol

Mine was so straight and fine that I couldn't do anything with it without aquanet. I might as well have had plastic hair like a cartoon character. lol

  19. Ah, the 80's...too bad we can't erase the photographic evidence! I guess that would require destroying some old negatives, right? I was very much loving my permed hair piled high w/ spray.
And you never know...after all, leggings are back - what's back next, huge shoulder pads? ;)
    TFS, Tania!

  22. I can't help but wonder if we are getting ready to repeat the 80's. I've been noticing young boys/men growing their hair longer. Our kids will one day ask...What was with the shaved heads? Love your pic. I bet your socks matched your outfit. LOL
