time for the June REVEAL, The Story Matters Kit Club

Happy reveal day and welcome to our Blog Hop!

whoooooooooa nellie! this kit was packed with awesomeness in shades of blue, yellow, charcoal and eggshell with a vintage dictionary page, and custom handmade buttons, and, and, and...........you just have to get your own!

here's a peek at what's inside. loads and loads of paper & cardstock. as you can see they are all double-sided giving you many options and a whole new direction of color with the pop of red mixed in there. and the embellishments.....swoon. love them.



of course, reveal day means you get to see my layouts that i peeked in this post. ready? wanna see?




this layout is documenting ashlyn's first grade spelling bee. the only things added to this layout (read: not in the kit) are the black mini brads i inserted in the holes of the clay buttons, the googly eye on the bee and the pinkish red square mini brads. the bumblebee & trophy were cut using my Silhouette with the cardstock provided in the kit. then, i applied Stickles glitter glue to the wings for sparkle.




then this layout shows a super fun way to add texture, dimension & make your alphabet stickers stretch just a bit further. i'm going to put together a pictorial tutorial to show you step by step how, but basically, you cut out around the negative space of the alphabet sticker, dust the back with powder to remove the sticky, lay it on your layout, trace, pierce holes, then stitch with embroidery floss. easy & fun! again, i added the brads in the clay buttons.
