National Craft Month + Fiskars

what do you get when you cross the celebration of National Crafting Month with Fiskars?

well let me tell you.....it's nothing short of AWESOMESAUCE.

to celebrate, Fiskars is hosting a National Craft Month Sweepstakes on their Facebook Page. it's a weekly sweepstakes, giving you 4 chances to win this month, so don't forget to check back each week for a new chance to enter. you can find all the details there: Official Fiskars Page.

then to kick it up a notch they put together some crafting challenges to get your creative juices flowing just a bit.

last week's challenge was to create something with: 5 pieces of paper, ribbon, adhesive and photos. Fiskars Crafting Expert, Mindy Miller came up with this super cute mini album.

this week's challenge is to create using patterned paper, alphabet stickers, adhesive and circle punches.

and here's my finished project! so simple and makes a nice little statement. here's the tutorial if you'd like to learn the technique to use on a card or your next layout!

here's a question, just out of curiosity...do you craft best when given creative freedom to use and make whatever your heart desires or better when you're challenged with only a few products?

for me it waxes and wanes between the two. lately it been easier (not necessarily better) to craft under strict deadline with very specific rules. i think my brain power and creative decision making skills have flown the coop temporarily. LOL. too many other things in everyday life hogging all the brain power. trying to remind myself...this too shall pass. it always does.

so who's going to try their hand at one of these challenges today? if you do, come back and share a link to what you create! i'd love to see it.

  1. Such a beautiful work of art! Love it! I'm finding that I currently scrap better when limited to a few products.
