Pack Your Bags, we're going to the Boardwalk!

Photobucket
Myrtle Beach, Summer 2005
don't you wish you were there!?

more LYB!? yessireee! the new collections from Little Yellow Bicycle seem to never end! they are all so fabulous, i can't decide yet which one is my favorite!?

i've shown you Clothesline, Lucky Me, Generation Z, and today you're looking at Pack Your Bags and Boardwalk! neither are on the site just yet----that's how new they are---but i'll be sure to link you there when they are up.

just wait until you see and feel the texture of this Boardwalk collection. it's divine! it has an incredible thick feeling, texture that looks like linen or lovely wallpaper, but you can tear it and crumple it up perfectly. seriously, nothing compares to the quality of this stuff.

and they knocked it out of the park with the embellishments on this one! as much as i'd like to claim some fame with that wave and say i spent hours and hours handcutting the delicate curves.......i'd be lying! HA! i just took it from the package and plopped it on the page with some handmade gluedots made from Tombow Mono-Multi Glue.

i loooooove when i can use embellishments that when put together on a layout make it look like i spent hours creating a masterpiece, but knowing it came together in a fraction of the time. Little Yellow Bicycle's products do that for me! but, of course, i simply can't resist adding some hand-stitching on top.

and now, for Pack Your Bags. this is updated version of the travel line they created last season---way cool updates going on here. i wish i could link you to see the whole line. soon. very soon.

for now, here's a few peeks!

my favorite in this update is the addition of many different modes of travel - train, boat, flying, road tripping.....it's suitable for any travel adventure. this light blue/teal color! it makes every thing look SO very fresh.

pictures are from my trip to chicago when my second book was being released. you've seen them on this layout using last year's travel line. i've had to send both layouts away for the tradeshow.....so i need to make yet another to finally put in my own album.

here's another peek at the Pack Your Bags line. this time using a photo of my girls in the cockpit of an airplane during a trip to Seattle. you might remember, this is when ashlyn realized that there was no one in heaven. too cute.

Photobucket

everything on the layout is from the collection, except for the stamps used for the journaling. it was hand stamped, letter by letter, using a mini-font from Hero Arts.

Photobucket

can you see the hand-stitching........it's become my "signature" to my work. i love stitching.

Photobucket

that's all i have of the Pack Your Bags and Boardwalk for now! but, would you believe....i still have Snugglebug and FreeSpirit to share from LYB too!? they've really knocked it out of the park this time around!

and i have boatloads from the other company i design for. trying to get them all resized to share soon. themes i have to share from them: Prom, Off Road 4 wheelin', Wedding, Graduation, In Loving Memory, Princess, Going to the Doctor.

it's neverending layout sharing around these parts. good thing since i still don't have my camera back!
